PT assistants conduct their tasks beneath the supervision and direction of a certified physical therapist. Physical therapists rely primarily on their Physical therapy assistants, so it is crucial that a Physical therapy assistant can offer patients a complete plan of physical therapy activities. PT assistants apply many physical therapy methods when looking after patients. Certain methods include physical modalities, deep tissue tissue massage, exercise therapy such as ultrasound and electro therapy as well as functional training.
Furthermore Physical therapy assistants commonly aid their clients to avoid losing movement by establishing wellness and fitness workouts to facilitate more active lifestyles. When a Physical therapy assistant examines a client first, they help the PT study the individual and develop a care program encouraging recovered functionality, being able to move, protecting against disability and reducing suffering. Then, together, the PT, Physical therapy assistant, and individual each work with each other to ensure the objective of the therapy plan is attained, measuring client progress, response, and safety while making modifications as needed.
