Physical Therapist Assistant Job Summary
PTAs carry out their services under the supervising and direction of a licensed physical therapist. PTs rely primarily on their PT assistants, therefore it is essential that a Physical therapist assistant can offer clients a comprehensive plan of physical therapy practices. PT assistants employ many physical therapy methods when caring for clients. Some techniques incorporate deep massage, exercise therapy, physical modalities like ultrasound and electro therapy as well as functional training.
Furthermore PT assistants often assist their patients to prevent losing mobility by creating health and fitness plans for more active life styles. Anytime a PTA examines a patient first, they help the PT analyze the individual and create a treatment plan encouraging recovered usability, being able to move, preventing impairment and pain reduction. Then, together, the PT, PTA, and individual each work together to ensure the objective of the health plan is reached, measuring patient progress, healing, and well-being even while making modifications as required.
